music to my ears north - glory of love
house of flying daggers was gooooood!
despite what some movie-watching folks might say, i thoroughly enjoyed myself.
the movie has beautiful scenery, comedy and romance.
the action sequences are quite
stress-inducing but at the same time,
it was pretty funny too.
well, at least it made its audience laugh.
that puzzles me much tho.
why did everyone laugh like when andy lau and takeshi(jin) were fighting to their death?
mmmm.
i did think that zhang ziyi's revival(s) were sort of
deja-vu.
then when i reached home, i realised that it reminded me of
othello!
like how desdemona rose from the dead to speak like at least thrice.
same thing..when everyone thought zhang ziyi was dead for good (there was a looong time lapse between her death and jin's arrival) she awoke when jin called out her name.
later she even
stood up to try to stop the 2men from killing each other.
so that part was quite comic.
i could go on forever but ill stop here.
i
love it. period.
walked a hell lot today man.
first we walked from lido to tanglin mall cos the smart alec said there WAS a fish&co. there.
but nooope, there wasnt.
took a bus back to glass house and had dinner there.
too full now.
but a happy girl i am. :)
something else spoiled my mood later on.
like,
ARGH.
i am not obliged to you.
i am not obliged to do things your way.
i am not obliged to feel sorry for saying, "no".
hell, im not even
obliged to speak to you.
oh yeah,
secret window sucks.
waaaay beyond my imagination.
but johnny depp makes up for it.
the storyline is toooooo damn
draggy but as they say in the movie,
"
the most important part of a story is the ending".
the twist at the end was pretty unexpected so yeah..
that was the high of the entire show.
if anyone intends to watch it but gets confused along the way,
remember that depp's a writer in the show.
gonna watch
the terminal right about now.
life is waiting.
