music to my ears jay chou - qi li xiang
i wonder why the headache disperses as soon as i step into my house.
weird.
it hurts like mad when im out, coercing me to get back home asap
and then the pain stops as soon as im where it wants me to be.
just like a
temperamental child.
my Mother is
well-wersed in cantonese, chinese and english, ill have u know.
she can switch with utmost ease when speaking.
Mam (when im leaving the house; in canto): neh moi tong ngor lapk lwein mai ye ah!
translation: dont u dare buy anymore rubbish that will add to big-enough collection!
<em>Mam (when im entering the house; in chinese): ni bu mai dong xi bu xing ah!
translation: will it kill u if u dont buy anything??
Mam (when im in the house; in eng): what did you buy this time that u dont already have??
translation: nuff' said.
on the other hand, im the proud parent of something new!
i, robot was surprisingly good. i loved it tho it almost killed me with all the action whatnot.
if ure planning on watching this and dont want to ruin the good movie, dont click
here.
(caution: theres a detailed summary of the movie!)
it really is a breath of fresh air from all the usual comic-to-movie, chick and war flicks around.
oh,
dont try sacarsm on a robot.
it doesnt work very well and heres why:
Detective Spooner (human): [...] u have no feelings! [...] can u turn canvas into a piece of art?
Sunny (robot): no. can you?
[Spooner remains silent.]
so good movie + good fun sums up a usually mundane thursday.
