i am no more than a child when it comes to
handling relationships.
i start running away - even before the game of
hide-and-seek begins.
i am sly like that.
i run to a spot i deem
secure, but i am shivering and very
frightened inside.
what if the Catcher finds me and drags me out of my hiding place?
but what if he doesnt find me; will i be able to delight in childlike joy when i triumph in this silly, silly game?
it is strange isnt it?
because i can actually see the Enemy and his frantic search for me.
i can only surpress my giggles.
but after a long wait, i realise i succeeded in hiding in a spot so secluded he can
never find me.
but i am
alone.
"it always depends though," i told Mommy, "sometimes i let myself
be found."
but ever so often, i shy away into my own world where i can only wait patiently for the right Enemy to come along.
my ideal Enemy has always been the Knight-in-shining-armour or Prince Charming.
Like every 10year old girl, i long for my own fairytale-like ending.
but u know, and i know, that fairytales are just a fiction of our imaginations.
something we
would like to believe in.
